If you've ever participated in a photo-a-day type project, you've probably had one of those days where you're feeling a little uninspired . . . and you wait until late, late in the day to take a picture.  You wander aimlessly around the house looking for something exciting to photograph.  And you end up with a picture of measuring spoons.

There are several reasons I like to take a photo a day.  First, it's great photography practice.  But it's also a photographic record of our lives.  So even when there's not a whole lot going on, I try to include pictures of my boys.  They just love these random photo shoots!  (Not really).  We'll call this one The Teen.

Yesterday a group of women from my church got together and sewed hundreds of these little dresses for girls in Africa.  We also had a blood drive and service projects for other local charities.  You can read more about it here.

YOU CAPTURE: WARMTH

This week's You Capture theme was Warmth.  I've had a bit of Spring fever this week as I searched for warmth.  It's still a little early for buds and blooms, but I found some evidence that it really was warm just a few short months ago and that it will be warm again soon.

PROJECT 64: APRICOT

This week's color for Project 64 was Apricot.  It was a tough one.  I tried nail polish, but it wasn't quite right. Believe it or not, apricots weren't quite right either.  Then I spotted this mechanical pencil on my desk.  I think it's as close as I'm going to get.
