PICTURE OF THE DAY 3/29/11

VIBRANCE

I bought a bouquet of flowers this week at the grocery store because I just couldn't wait for Spring.  I thought it would also be a good opportunity to practice with my macro lens.

I'm sharing at Sweet Shot Tuesday, and also at You Capture, where this week's theme is Vibrance.

PICTURE OF THE DAY 3/28/11

Just shy of his 14th birthday and he's taller than me.  And I'm not short.

PICTURE OF THE DAY 3/22/11

It seems like now would be a good time to mention that I'm just a tad jealous of the people who are already posting shots of blooms and flowers.

PICTURE OF THE DAY 3/21/11

Guess what we did tonight after dinner?

I'm sharing over at You Capture, where the theme this week is Youth.  Because even if you aren't youthful, playing mini-golf makes you feel like you are!

SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY

It's Scavenber Hunt Sunday time again. Head over to Ramblings and Photos and join the fun!

{Shoes}

{Camera Phone}

I have a cell phone, but honestly, the only thing I ever use it for is to call my husband from the grocery store to ask if we need eggs.  I'm pretty sure it has a camera, but I have no idea how to use it, and even less idea how to get the picture from my camera to my computer.  I don't even text.  Not that I'm anti-texting or anything.  I'm just lame that way.

I know, technically I didn't finish the Scavenger Hunt, but I just couldn't pass up the chance to share that shoe photo!

PROJECT 64: SCARLET

This week's color over at Project 64 is Scarlet, which I always though of as a shade of red.  But apparently it's more of an orange.  Either way, it's a bold, beautiful color.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Oh, Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling . . .

From glen to glen, and down the mountainside.
The summer's gone, and all the flow'rs are dying.
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow.
'Tis I'll be here, in sunshine or in shadow,
Oh, Danny boy, oh, Danny boy, I love you so.

And when ye come, and all the roses falling.
If I am dead, as dead I well may be . . .

Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an "ave" there for me.

And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me,
And, all my grave shall warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me . . .

And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me.
Oh, Danny Boy, Oh, Danny Boy, I love you so.

AYME

Ayme is one of the many beautiful girls from our church's youth group.  I've wanted to take her pictures for awhile now, so when she had her 16th birthday recently, I decided that was reason enough.  Here our some of my favorites from our photo shoot yesterday.

PICTURE OF THE DAY 3/14/11

The East African Crowned Crane.  As you probably guessed, he's a zoo bird.  Not the type I'd typically see at the backyard bird feeder.
