Here are this week's Scavenger Hunt Sunday finds.  Guess what?  I'm not even here! I'm on my way home from San Franciso.  My husband surprised me with a trip to see my college roommate for my 40th birthday! So I'll link up when I get back.

The other night, while we were at the drive-in, I took a photo of the empty movie screen.  That's now.  I used Photoshop to put an old photograph of me (the cute baby), my mom, grandma and great-grandma onto the screen.  That's then.  How cool is that!

FRIDAY FAVORITE

I shared this photo earlier in the week, but it's my recent favorite, so I'm sharing it again for all the fabulous, favorite, Friday photo challenges. 

So many of you asked me what it was.  I don't know exactly, except that it's some kind of flower waiting to bloom.  I thought you might like to see what it looks like when that happens.... 

That's about the size the blooms are in real life.  Anybody know what kind of flower it is?

Every year, the local university grows an expiremental flower garden to see what plants and flowers grow well in our area.  This is, of course, a photographer's dream!  The other night, I spent some time there with my macro lens....and my tripod and remote shutter release.  Here are some of my favorites.

My boys love Phineas and Ferb.  This one's Phineas, in case you're unfamiliar with the latest cartoons.  If you sqeeze him, him eyeballs pop out.  Amazing, I know.

I HEART FACES: WATER

This week the challenge over at I Heart Faces  is Water.  What a perfect theme for summer.  This is one of my favorite shots from our recent vacation.  Taken at Cocoa Beach, Florida the evening before we left on our Disney Cruise!



PROJECT 64: WISTERIA

This week the color at Project 64 is Wisteria.  I'm not sure if the outer petals of this flower are the right color, but I think the center is pretty close.

PICTURE OF THE DAY 7/20/11: OLD TOWN ALLEYS

I love where I live.  Even the alleys are pretty.  Paved with cobblestones and decorated with hanging baskets and potted plants.  Some people say it's a waste of taxpayer dollars.  But I'm taxpayer, and I like it!
